Why regular exfoliation is beneficial

Warum ein regelmäßiges Peeling sinnvoll ist

Our skin is constantly exposed to daily stress and environmental influences and renews itself approximately every 4-6 weeks. Dead skin cells can make your complexion look dull or clog pores, which can lead to pimples and blackheads.

A scrub deeply cleanses the pores and removes excess sebum and dead skin cells, leaving your skin ready to absorb the active ingredients in your skincare products and giving it a radiant glow. It results in a clear and visibly smoother skin surface.

How and how often should a peeling treatment be used?

You should use an exfoliator once or twice a week after cleansing your face. Gentle and mild exfoliants can also be used daily. It all depends on the product.

A distinction is made between mechanical peels (scrub peels) and chemical peels (exfoliant peels), and these are also applied differently.

Mechanical exfoliation contains small particles that are rubbed over the skin. These particles loosen dead skin cells. The scrub is then rinsed off with warm water, and the routine is continued as usual.

Chemical peels are acidic substances (e.g., salicylic acid, lactic acid, or glycolic acid) that gently exfoliate the skin's surface. These types of peels are ideal for improving skin texture and stimulating collagen production. They are gently patted into the skin and do not need to be rinsed off. They are particularly suitable for treating blemishes.
