Chapped lips? That doesn't have to be the case.

Spröde Lippen? Das muss nicht sein

The skin on our lips is very thin and sensitive . It reacts immediately to heat, cold, or dry air. Especially in summer, the high temperatures rob them of moisture, causing them to dry out and crack . Both visually and in terms of sensation, chapped lips are unpleasant. Therefore, it is all the more important to take good care of your lips.

Many conventional lip balms from drugstores often contain cheap paraffin oil, a refined petroleum product that tends to dry out the skin even more instead of nourishing it. Since lips react to both heat and cold, lip care should always be adapted to the season. Especially in summer, you should choose a lip balm with SPF to protect against sun damage and keep your lips pleasantly moisturized. In winter, on the other hand, a lip balm specifically formulated for dry lips should be used.

Our tips for optimal lip care:

1. If your lips feel dry, you should not moisten them with your tongue. The saliva evaporates on the surface and your lips will become even drier afterwards.

2. Dead skin cells should be regularly removed with a lip scrub .

3. Lip masks can help you to intensely moisturize and repair your lips.

4. Drinking plenty of water is also the best foundation when it comes to lip care.
