Our skin is constantly exposed to daily stress and environmental influences and renews itself every 4-6 weeks. Dead skin cells make your complexion look dull or clog the pores, which can lead to pimples and blackheads.
Exfoliation deep cleanses pores and removes excess talc and debris, leaving your skin ready to absorb your skincare ingredients and glowing with a new radiance. It ensures a clean and visibly smoothed skin surface.
How and how often should I use a peel?
You should use a peeling 1-2 times a week after cleansing your face. Gentle and mild peels can also be used daily. It all depends on the product.
A distinction is made between mechanical peeling (scrub peeling) and chemical peeling (exfoliant peeling) and these are also used differently.
Mechanical peeling contains small particles that are rubbed over the skin. These particles loosen the dead skin cells. The peel is then rinsed off with warm water and the routine continued as usual.
Chemical peels are acidic substances (e.g. salicylic acid, lactic acid or glycolic acid) that gently exfoliate the skin surface. Peels of this type are ideal for improving skin texture and stimulating collagen production. They are gently patted into the skin and do not need to be rinsed off. They are particularly suitable for treating skin blemishes.
