The skin of our lips is very thin and sensitive. They react immediately to heat, cold or dry air. Especially in summer, hot temperatures deprive them of a lot of moisture and they can dry out and crack. Chapped lips are not particularly pleasant to look at or to feel. This makes it all the more important to take adequate care of your lips.
Many conventional lip balms from the drugstore often contain cheap paraffin oil, i.e. refined petroleum, which dries out the skin even more instead of caring for it. Since lips react to heat and cold in the same way, the care should always be adapted according to the season. Especially in summer, you should choose a lip care with a sun protection factor, which protects the lips from the sun's rays and keeps them pleasantly moisturised. In winter, on the other hand, you should use a lip balm for dry lips.
Our advice for optimal lip care:
1. if your lips feel dry, do not moisten them with your tongue. The saliva will evaporate on the surface and your lips will become even drier afterwards. 2.
2. dead skin cells should be removed regularly with a lip peeling.
3. lip masks can help to intensively moisturise and repair your lips.
4. drinking plenty of water is also the best basis for lip care.
