If there's only one thing you should do, it's use sunscreen. Yes, more important than moisturiser and also more important than daily cleansing!
The sun emits two types of skin damaging UV rays:
UVB - accounts for 5% of the UV radiation that reaches our skin. UVB is responsible for sunburns and the delayed tan of our skin, making it the main cause of skin cancer.
UVA - accounts for 95% of the UV radiation that reaches our skin. UVA can penetrate to the lower layers of the skin where it damages our skin structure.
In short, UVA stands for ageingand UVB stands for (sun)burn.
So apart from the risk of skin cancer, solar radiation is the main cause of our skin ageing. Ultraviolet rays cause everything we want to avoid. Wrinkles, dullness, hyperpigmentation and dryness. Even that beautiful tan is a sign that your skin is fighting back against sun damage. UV damage is such a significant factor in premature skin ageing that it has its own term: Photoaging.

It absorbs the harmful UVA and UVB rays so they don't penetrate your skin. Sunscreen comes in many different varieties such as creams, sprays, sticks, oils or powders.
We recommend using a sunscreen for optimal protection, as it is more portionable and you can be sure you have applied enough product (1 teaspoon). Powders, sprays and sticks are ideal for refreshing on the go. If you spend a lot of time in the sun, it is advisable to refresh the sunscreen every 2 hours.
